Emily E. Long is an accomplished attorney. Her experience in criminal defense, family law, and general civil matters benefits her clients. Ms. Long was an assistant prosecutor where she handled a wide range of criminal matters in the courtroom and really learned how criminal cases are investigated and prosecuted. That experience forged the foundation of her criminal defense practice. Ms. Long is a cum laude graduate of Michigan State University’s Detroit College of Law where she completed the prestigious Geoffrey Fieger Trial Practice Institute. She received her undergraduate degree from Kenyon College and attended Cranbrook Kingswood Schools. Ms. Long has won numerous awards for advocacy and now volunteers as a guest judge for law student trial and appellate advocacy competitions. She is a member of the State Bar of Michigan, sits on the Board of Directors for the Oakland County Bar Association, and is a member of the Criminal Defense Attorneys of Michigan.
